Key Features and Benefits
- Standard Design with Recessed Handles — Features two built-in recessed handles for easy, tool-free removal during inspections, pumping, or maintenance.
- Factory-Installed Gasket — Ensures a reliable watertight and airtight seal right out of the box—no additional sealant required between lid and riser (though butyl tape can be added for extra assurance in demanding conditions).
- Skid-Resistant Surface — Improves safety and traction in wet or grassy areas.
- Secure Installation — Includes stainless steel screws to lock the lid firmly in place, deterring unauthorized access or accidental displacement.
- Durable Load Capacity — Rated for up to 500 lbs pedestrian/light equipment load; passed static load testing up to 2,500 lbs—suitable for normal residential traffic, including foot traffic or occasional crossing by a riding lawn mower or small garden tractor (when properly installed and backfilled).
- UV & Weather Resistance — Top-tier UV protection prevents brittleness and maintains structural integrity in all climates.
- Lightweight Yet Tough — Easier to handle than concrete lids, while providing excellent strength and longevity.
- Made in the USA — Trusted Polylok quality from a leader in septic and wastewater solutions.
Note: This is the standard lid with handles. For below-grade installations, high-traffic areas, or heavier loads, consider the Polylok heavy-duty flat lid (no handles, higher reinforcement, tested up to 5,000 lbs—sold separately).
