Float Switch Inspection Tool
SOLO CHECK™ - TEST FLOATS WITH A SINGLE OPERATOR!
Aerobic septic systems require the pump to be running during inspection to properly check critical components like sprinkler heads (spray heads), flow rates, alarms, and overall system performance. Traditionally, this demands two people: one person holds the float switch up inside the tank riser while the second technician walks the yard checking the sprinklers.
For solo inspectors or small companies, this often means:
- Skipping a full pump-run test (leading to incomplete reports).
- Calling in a helper just for inspections (extra labor cost).
- Using makeshift, unsafe methods like taping or wedging the float (which can damage equipment or create liability issues).
The Solo Check™ Tool completely eliminates that second person.
FUNCTIONALITY
The patented tool temporarily locks the pump’s “on” float in the raised position, forcing the pump to run continuously while you:
- Walk freely around the property.
- Verify every sprinkler head pops up and sprays correctly.
- Check for broken lines, clogged nozzles, or uneven distribution.
- Test high-level alarms and other components under real operating conditions.
When you’re done, a simple release mechanism drops the float back to normal and you remove the tool in seconds.
