Proper aeration is essential for aerobic bacteria to thrive and efficiently break down wastewater. Over time, diffuser pores become clogged with biofilm and sludge, reducing airflow and forcing your air pump to work harder. Replacing the diffuser every 3–4 years restores full performance, reduces strain on the pump, lowers energy use, and helps prevent costly system issues.

The Hiblow Diffuser is made of polypropylene and is less prone to clogging as older stone style diffusers. Each diffuser is rated for 30-55 liters of air per minute. The diffuser has a male threaded 1/2'' NPT connection.
